Jilly Dilly

The childhood nickname of Jill Taylor (Patricia Richardson), the wife of Tim “The Toolman” Taylor (Tim Allen) on the sitcom HOME IMPROVEMENT/ABC/1991-99.

Jill’s mother used to call her Jilly Dilly, but the grown up Jill hates to here that name and urges her husband to promise “not” to tell anyone else about it.

Born November 1956, Jill “Jillian” [née Patterson] is a homemaker. She used to work as a researcher for Inside Detroit magazine but has gone back to college to get a degree in psychology.

Jill shares a lovely suburban home at 510 Glenview Road in Detroit, Michigan (Edgewood/Royal Oak area) with her husband Tim, the  klutzy host of “Tool Time,” a local cable fix-it show sponsored by Binford Tools. Tim is Presbyterian, left-handed, loves Sears, hates snakes.

The Taylor’s three sons are Bradley “Brad” Michael Taylor [age 10/born January 1981], Randy William Taylor [age 9/born February 8th 1982] and Mark [age 6/born March 1985].

Born in Philadelphia, Jerome Alphonse Holst worked 30 years as a librarian. He has since retired and lives in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mr. Holst is also the author of the children’s books “Norman the Troll,” "Norman the Troll and the Haunted House," and "Gretchen and the Gremlins." In addition, he penned the fantasy novel “The Adventures of Glinda Gale,” a retelling of “The Wizard of Oz" and the reference text “The Encyclopedia of Movie and TV Insults.” .
