Dippy

College nickname of architect Wilbur Post (Alan Young) on the sitcom MISTER ED/SYN/CBS/1961-66.

When Wilbur attended college he was a member of the wrestling and debating teams. He earned the sorry nickname of “Dippy” when he carried water for the football team.

Note: Wilbur was raised by his Aunt Martha (Eleanor Audley). His nickname as a baby was Weebie.
