Blue Light

Code name of a secret group of eighteen WWII Allied counterspies working to infiltrate Germany’s “Third Reich” on the spy drama BLUE LIGHT/ABC/1966.


“Long before Hitler turned the world to flames, American correspondent David Marsh fled to Germany posing as a traitor to his own country. Accepted by the High Command, Marsh worked as a double agent to destroy the Third Reich from within under the code name….Blue Light.” – TV Intro

David March (Robert Goulet), the group’s lone survivor (17 killed by German counterintelligence) continued his mission of passing along vital secrets to the Allies, while posing as a foreign correspondent who had renounced his allegiance to America.

For example,  Living in Germany, he aids Nazi activities by broadcasting anti-American propaganda, and inserts essential strategic information in code to the only one who knows he’s a double agent.

The series was filmed in Germany and other European locales.

Born in Philadelphia, Jerome Alphonse Holst worked 30 years as a librarian. He has since retired and lives in Greensboro, North Carolina. Mr. Holst is also the author of the children’s books “Norman the Troll,” "Norman the Troll and the Haunted House," and "Gretchen and the Gremlins." In addition, he penned the fantasy novel “The Adventures of Glinda Gale,” a retelling of “The Wizard of Oz" and the reference text “The Encyclopedia of Movie and TV Insults.” .
